What is a sequential LED road flare?
A battery LED warning light that replaces chemical (burning) flares. A line of Pi-Lit flares syncs wirelessly and lights up one after another, so drivers see a moving arrow that shows which way to go — far clearer than static cones or steady lamps, especially at night.
Is Pi-Lit approved for use in Malaysia?
Pi-Lit Smart-Blinker units are SIRIM-certified, and the technology has been accepted by DBKL for Kuala Lumpur road operations and by MIROS for road-safety applications. Muhibah also signed an MOU with LLM (Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia) for highway deployment. Each is documented in our news section.
How long does the battery last?
Smart Sequential Flares run more than 60 hours per charge or set of batteries; across the range, runtime is 60–120 hours depending on model. Rechargeable and alkaline D-cell versions are available.
Can it handle rain and being driven over?
Yes. Units are weatherproof and IP-rated, and the flares are impact-rated for a 20,000 lb drive-over load.
Why switch from chemical flares?
Chemical flares burn once and are thrown away, produce smoke and are a fire hazard. Pi-Lit flares are reusable, produce no smoke or flame, and the sequential pattern redirects drivers more effectively.
