Muhibah Konsortium Holdings has been engaged by UEM Edgenta Infrastructure Services as Traffic Management Plan (TMP) subcontractor for the PLUS Expressway Yong Peng (North) – Senai (North) 3rd Lane Widening, Package B. The engagement covers two construction phases on the Johor expressway corridor.

Project scope

The PLUS Yong Peng – Senai 3rd Lane Widening, Package B is part of PLUS Malaysia’s wider expressway-capacity expansion. The project widens the existing dual two-lane carriageway to three lanes per direction across the Senai – Sedenak – Simpang Renggam corridor in Johor.

Muhibah’s engagement covers two phases:

  • Phase 1B — Senai to Sedenak section
  • Phase 2 — Sedenak to Simpang Renggam section

Muhibah’s scope

As TMP subcontractor, Muhibah delivers:

  • Concrete and plastic barriers with hoarding at cut and fill sections, supplied direct from our Bandar Baru Bangi manufacturing plant
  • Portable Variable Message Signs (PVMS) for dynamic driver communication
  • Lane closure crews with certified TMOs and TMDT drivers
  • TMP execution per LLM/GP/T6-16 guideline including northbound/southbound work-zone separation and 24/7 emergency contraflow capability
  • Permit liaison with PLUS, LLM and JKR Johor

Why this matters for Johor contractors

The PLUS Yong Peng – Senai corridor is one of Malaysia’s busiest stretches of expressway. Maintaining safe, productive work-zones on a live tolled highway with no service interruption requires an experienced TMP partner. This engagement adds to Muhibah’s portfolio of major Johor project work alongside Iskandar Puteri infrastructure (with Mutu Nusantara) and Muar civil works (with Green World).

About the partnership

UEM Edgenta Infrastructure Services manages PLUS Malaysia’s expressway maintenance and construction-management activities. The selection of Muhibah for two consecutive phases reflects continued performance on TMP delivery, equipment supply reliability, and JKR/LLM compliance documentation.
