What is a string delineator and where is it used?
A string delineator is a reflective vertical post (typically 750mm or 1000mm tall) connected to neighbouring posts by a tensioned string or chain at the top. Used to demarcate temporary lane closures, parking areas, pedestrian channels and event-management corridors where a fully rigid barrier would be excessive but plain cones would lack visual continuity. Reflective tape on each post (Class 1 or Class 2) makes the line visible at night.
String delineator vs flexible spring post — what's the difference?
String delineator: rigid PVC or HDPE post + connecting string between posts → visual lane line, easy to install/remove. Flexible spring post: rigid base + spring-loaded shaft → can deflect when struck by a vehicle then return to vertical, used on turning circles, narrow median splits and roundabout cores. Use string delineators for visual demarcation; spring posts for impact-survivable lane separation.
Are Muhibah's delineators JKR-compliant?
Yes. Standard PVC delineator post 750mm/1000mm, base weighted (rubber or cement-fill), Class 1 reflective tape (4-inch top + bottom band) per JKR specification for temporary work zones and SPJ/S19 work-zone management. Can I rent delineators or only buy?
Both. Rental is common for short-duration events and rolling work zones (RM6–RM12 per post per month including string + base). Purchase makes sense for permanent installations or long-duration construction (RM45–RM120 per post depending on height, base weight and reflective grade). Bulk discount on 100+ unit orders.
Do you supply spring posts (impact-recoverable) too?
Yes. Spring-base flexible bollards in 600mm/750mm/900mm heights, polyurethane shaft, base bolted or epoxy-anchored to road surface. Used on highway turn-offs, roundabout splitters, exit gore points.
